Solo Boutique Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking down the narrow cobblestone streets of Kaleiçi, you’ll stumble upon Solo Boutique Hotel tucked away on Karanlık Sokak — and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect. This four-star boutique property sits right in the heart of Antalya’s historic old town, where ancient Roman walls meet charming Ottoman-era houses. The entrance might be easy to miss if you’re not looking carefully, but that’s part of its intimate appeal.
The Historic Quarter Experience
You know what I love about staying here? You’re literally surrounded by history — I mean, you can walk to Hadrian’s Gate in about three minutes, and the old harbor is just a short stroll down the hill. The narrow streets around the hotel are lined with traditional Turkish houses that have been converted into cafes and shops, so there’s always something interesting to discover. Couples seem to really appreciate this area (they’ve rated the location 8.1), and I can see why — it’s romantic wandering these ancient streets together, especially in the evening when everything’s lit up. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of Ottoman charm.
The Room and Comfort
The room I stayed in had that boutique hotel charm you’d expect — thoughtfully designed without being overly fussy. What struck me was how quiet it was despite being in such a central location; the thick walls of these old buildings really do their job. The air conditioning works well (crucial during Antalya’s hot summers), and the Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay. It’s not the largest space you’ll find, but everything feels purposeful and well-maintained. The attention to detail in every corner makes the space feel larger than it actually is.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
Actually, the breakfast here surprised me in the best way. They offer everything from continental to American options, plus vegetarian and halal choices — which is thoughtful for such a small property. The breakfast-to-go option is particularly handy if you’re planning an early morning trip to nearby attractions like Düden Waterfalls or want to catch the sunrise at the harbor. I appreciated having real variety rather than the same tired buffet you get at larger hotels. Fresh pastries and local specialties are prepared daily.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about Solo Boutique Hotel — it gets the balance right between authentic local experience and modern comfort. You’re staying in one of Turkey’s most atmospheric neighborhoods, where you can hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques and smell fresh simit from street vendors in the morning. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward the best local restaurant or help you avoid the tourist traps near the harbor. With a location score of 8.4, it’s clear that most guests figure out what I did — sometimes the best hotels aren’t the biggest or flashiest, they’re just in exactly the right spot. This property delivers an unforgettable experience.
Apartments in Antalya suit long stays with kitchenettes, shaded balconies, and fresh produce markets around Kale Kapisi.

Reviews of Solo Boutique Hotel
Jana from South Africa – 10 November 2024 (6/10)
1. It was clean.
2. It is really very centrally located near loads of restaurants, shops, markets and even historic points of interest (within walking distance!)
3. Staff are friendly and helpful (trying their best, with limited English.)
What could be improved: 1. Although the size is indicated, you really do not realise just how small it is, until you get there. Bathroom reminds of being on an aeroplane.
2. NOISE – NOISE – NOISE. Prepare yourself for noise until at least 02:00 or 03:00 every single night (sometimes later). And I mean BLASTING NOISE from restaurants directly adjacent to SOLO. You will get very little sleep.
3. No room cleaning unless you ask. On the advertisement, it seems it's daily – without the need to ask.
4. Although the lady is really friendly and tries her utmost to help and assist, the language barrier is real, and you'll have to communicate using Google Translate, which got really irritating and frustrating for me. On booking.com they indicate the staff can speak English.
5. As if it's not small enough (you'll have to shuffle your way around the room) there's obviously not a lot of maintenance done on small things which will take little time to fix. Trust me – if you stay 5 nights, with constant NOISE, these little things matter. Hooks hanging loose, toilet seat loose….
6. Coffee house on site is advertised, but we bought cappuccino once, which tasted like cr@p! Didn't even look close to a cappuccino! For 100TL x 1. Total rip-off.
After that, we just bought 3-in-1 sachets of coffee at the convenience store and asked for cups and boiling water. Much better!Oleksandra from France – 16 October 2024 (6/10)
Location is great and staff are very helpful and nice
What could be improved: The room was very small, the bathroom is tiny as well. But the biggest issue was that it was literally not possible to sleep until 3 in the morning. There was a party on the rooftop of the hotel (extremely loud) AND also loud music in the restaurant right in front of the hotel. We were exhausted from traveling but still were not able to sleep almost the whole nightKristýna from Czech Republic – 27 September 2024 (7/10)
We liked the clean room with comfortable bed. The staff was nice and helpful. Location in city is good because you can walk everywhere by walk.
What could be improved: The room is very very tiny and also bathroom so you have to take care when you open the door to the room. Also in opposite building is very noisy bar, which on Saturday was open till late night and we couldnt sleep. So maybe in other days its better.Argyrios from Greece – 14 September 2024 (8/10)
Great location in the city center ! The staff was really friendly, kind and helpful with everything!

Good location, helpful staffmembers
What could be improved: Live music on top floor at bar
restaurant across the road is very noisy until 2am.
room is very small
hotel is more like a backpackers than a hotel
Photo's are misleading.Yash from Netherlands – 11 August 2024 (8/10)
Great location in the middle of old town. Very clean. Staff were amazing, sweet and helpful. One of our friends fell sick but the staff was ready to help with hot water and some meds in the middle of the night. They followed up the next days to ensure our friend was feeling better. Breakfast was delicious with a good spread of Turkish items. Vegetarian options were readily available.
What could be improved: 3 bedder rooms are tiny. Will be a little squeeze for 3 adults with luggage. Toilets are functional but very small. Did not realise they have bar on the rooftop so expect a little noise till 1 or 2 amKajee from United Kingdom – 2 July 2023 (7/10)
Was clean and comfortable and in a good location
What could be improved: Very loud outside with live music until early hours of the morningMehar from Pakistan – 27 June 2023 (8/10)
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They helped me with directions around the city and even offered an Antalyakart card! Anything I needed, they were happy to help. The location is smack in the middle of the old town market so everything is walking distance. The view from the terrace is amazing
What could be improved: This isn't necessarily the hotel's fault that it's in the centre of the old city (some could say it's a plus as well) but the room was quite noisy with bars and restaurants playing loud live music late into the night. It may not bother you if you're a night owl but I had most of my activities early in the day and could not get much sleep as a result.
Again, not the hotel's fault. They offered to change me to a quieter room but unfortunately there was none availableBlanka from Germany – 26 August 2022 (8/10)
This is a hidden gem in the very heart of the Old city of Antalya.
We were in the center surrounded by the old Bazar and countless bars, restaurants and the marina was only 5 min walk away.
The room has everything you need and it is very clean and despite its location, very quiet.
There is a balkon and a huge terrace in the hotel, giving you the best sunset views over the old town. The staff were amazing, always smiling and very helpful with tipps what to do in Antalya. The hotel organizes also airport transfers. Since our flight was late in the night, this was very nice and started our holiday smoothly.
Our departure was too early in the morning and all cafés were still closed, the staff organized and surprised us with fresh coffee directly to our room.Evelyn from United Kingdom – 11 June 2022 (6/10)
What could be improved: Rooms a bit small
