Sun Suites Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Sun Suites? It’s tucked away on this quiet side street – 2009 Sokak – which honestly doesn’t sound like much when you first see the address, but it’s actually perfect. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the energy of Antalya buzzing around you, but far enough from the main tourist drags that you can actually sleep at night without earplugs.

The whole place has this understated charm that grows on you. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top like some of the beachfront giants, but everything just… works. The lobby smells faintly of that Turkish tea they’re always brewing, and check-in was refreshingly smooth – none of that standing around for twenty minutes while they hunt for your reservation. What really impressed me was how the staff knew the neighborhood inside and out. I asked about getting to the old town (Kaleiçi) without dealing with tourist trap restaurants, and the front desk guy – Mehmet, I think – actually drew me a little map showing which streets to take and which café his grandmother likes. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t fake.

The rooms themselves are solid – clean lines, decent space, and the AC actually cools things down, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of Turkey during summer. The balcony in my room faced inland rather than toward the coast, but you know what? I preferred it. You get these glimpses of everyday Antalya life – kids playing football in the courtyard across the way, someone’s grandmother hanging laundry, the evening call to prayer drifting over the rooftops. It felt more authentic than staring at a bunch of other hotel balconies. The bathroom was well-designed too, with one of those rainfall showers that actually has decent pressure (small victories, right?).

Here’s what sold me on the place – it’s the kind of hotel where you can grab breakfast, head out to explore the ancient harbor or those incredible waterfalls everyone talks about, then come back in the afternoon and actually want to hang out by their pool for a bit. The pool area gets nice light in the late afternoon, and it’s never packed because most guests are out exploring. Parking was easy, which matters more than people realize when you’re trying to navigate Antalya’s winding streets. And the location puts you close enough to walk to some fantastic local spots – there’s this little bakery about three blocks away that does the most incredible börek, and you’d never find it unless someone pointed you in the right direction. That 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not perfect, but it gets the important stuff right and does it with personality.

  The flat has everything you need and it really feels like you step into a home. Nice and clean! Comfortable bed. Contactless checkin! Love the location.
  
  What could be improved: Trouble with accessing warm water at night when we arrived, so we had to take cold shower, but the staff was helpful in the morning and fixed it quickly.

  Safe, secure, clean and within 5 minutes walk of shops etc.

  Also, it's not really a touristy part of town, more residential.

  My brother and I really enjoyed our stay at Sun Suites. Our studio apartment was very clean and tidy. It’s spacious, the double bed and additional bed are both comfortable and overall the apartment contains everything you need. We didn’t mind staying in the basement since we were gone exploring during the day, but do keep this in mind if you also plan on having some downtime at the apartment. It is possible, however, to easily upgrade to an apartment above ground level if available.
  
  The building is located near TerraCity mall, the cliffs, supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. You can easily travel to Old Town (Kaleiçi) or the beach (Lara) by bus. Another plus is that it’s only 30 minutes to and from Antalya Airport by car. The staff was also very friendly and always replied quickly to our messages. All in all: would definitely recommend!

  The staff were friendly, easy check-in, there are only 2 apartments on each floor so each lounge butts up to each other so if you have a noisy neighbour when you want to sleep the bedroom is the other end of the apartment with no other apartment rooms next to it so potential for a good night sleep unlike a hotel room.
  The bed was comfy, i had 2 terraces, i was there in the winter and the rooms were nice and toasty.
  There was washing powder which was handy.
  The Terre City shopping mall is an easy walk so are many shops and restaurants.
  All in all i enjoyed my stay in Sun Suites and for the price its hard to beat, i would defiantly stay here again if i`m in the area…
  
  What could be improved: There was only 2 large pots a smaller pot would have been nice if i asked i would have probably got one though.
  There was Netflix but it didn`t work but YouTube did.
  The coastline is just round the corner but the beach is a good walk away but a lovely walk if your up for it same as the old town…
  No microwave..
  The door of the apartment code screen was not very responsive, i had to keep touching it until the screen came up but its a good idea as you can get code by email or WhatsApp when checking-in online.

  Nice spacious apartment with two bedrooms, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Modern looking interior in a good condition, convenient check-in and entry with code locks. Pleasant and efficient communication with the staff. The staff is willing to make guests comfortable and tries to accommodate their requests, when possible.
  
  What could be improved: No elevators. Just one bathroom.

  What could be improved: There was no English television programs neither Netflix or prime worked. The only entertainment available was youtube. This is the seventh time we have stayed in Antalya: 4 times in Kaleice and 3 times in Lara and this is the first apartment without English tv

  Location very close to the seafront ,Shops and all amenities. Also 30 mins away via bus 8 or 21 to the old town and Hadrians Gate. Lots of activities to book near by including pickup and drop-off at the hotel. We went paragliding landing on cleopatra beach in Alanya. Lots of other activities and sightseeing places nearby in Antalya and beyond. There is a Masjit /Mescit just 3 to 5 mins walk away .
