Tekeli Konaklari Overview
You know what struck me first about Tekeli Konaklari? The way it just sort of emerges from the cobblestones of Dizdar Hasan Sokak like it’s been part of Kaleici’s ancient walls forever. I mean, this isn’t your typical hotel situation at all – it’s more like staying in someone’s beautifully restored Ottoman house, which honestly, is probably exactly what it is.
The thing about Kaleici is that most tourists rush through during the day, snapping photos of Hadrian’s Gate and the old harbor, but they miss the real magic that happens when the sun goes down and the neighborhood settles into its evening rhythm. That’s when Tekeli really shines. The narrow streets that felt crowded at noon become these intimate little passages where you can actually hear the fountains and smell the jasmine growing over the old stone walls. And since you’re literally in the heart of it all, you get to experience that transformation firsthand – which is probably why this place has that crazy 9.3 rating.
The rooms themselves feel authentic in a way that’s hard to fake. I’m talking about original architectural details that have been carefully preserved, not some designer’s interpretation of “Turkish style.” The stone work is real, the wooden elements have that weathered patina that only comes with age, and honestly, the whole place has this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying with locals rather than just passing through. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – and this is coming from someone who’s stayed in plenty of Kaleici hotels where you can hear every footstep on the cobblestones outside. The way these old buildings are constructed, with those thick walls, really does make a difference.
The location thing is interesting because people always say “oh, it’s in the old town,” but they don’t realize that where exactly you are in Kaleici matters a lot. Tekeli’s spot on Dizdar Hasan Sokak puts you close enough to the marina and the main sights that you can walk everywhere, but you’re tucked away from the main tourist flow. You can slip out for breakfast at one of those little places near the Kesik Minare, or grab dinner at the fish restaurants down by the harbor, then come back to your own quiet corner. During high season – which in Antalya basically means April through October – that balance between accessibility and tranquility is pretty much priceless.
I’ll be honest, this isn’t the kind of place where you’re going to find a huge lobby or a concierge desk with someone in a uniform. It’s more intimate than that, more personal. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, can tell you which restaurants the locals go to (hint: not the ones with the English menus), and they genuinely seem to care about whether you’re having a good time. It’s that boutique hotel experience done right – where the character of the place and the warmth of the people make up for not having all the standard hotel amenities. If you’re looking for a pool and room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re really experiencing Antalya’s old town, not just visiting it, then yeah, this is exactly where you want to be.

Fantastic family run property right in the heart of the old town. They really couldn’t do enough for us (including parking our car at half past midnight when we arrived!!)
Breakfast was varied and tasty every morning
I really can’t think of anything bad to say. It was as if we’d moved into the area ourselves rather than just being visitors 🥰

The seclusion.
What could be improved: The noise from the clubs in the surrounding old town. (But that ceased just after one each night and wasn’t in the control of the hotel.)Jane from United Kingdom – 11 May 2025 (10/10)
The hotel is like an oasis in the middle of the city! Always returned and felt relaxed when coming in the gates
We had lovely tea and fruit by the pool 😁
Breakfast was our favourite every day
Room beautifully clean
Marina is only 2 mins walk
We were very happy with our stay
Thank you Mehmet and Amina 😁😁😁
What could be improved: Only the street noise and as this has nothing to do with hotel. We did find that closing the window and putting air conditioner on made a big differenceMcgeown from Australia – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
In the old quarter the accommodation is a old ottoman house. The decor and tiles were beautiful. Close to old bazaars, harbour and surrounding restaurants.

Incredible breakfast, lovely property and kind hosts. My room felt like a palace, and the hot water in the shower was great.
What could be improved: Getting to the hotel was a little confusing, but if you're taking a taxi it's no problem.Parijat from India – 25 December 2024 (9/10)
The room was spacious and the property is situated right in the middle of old town square.
The manager made sure that we had a comfortable stay. He even went out of his ways to arrange breakfast early for our morning departure.
What could be improved: Nothing, it was awesome!Bryan from United Kingdom – 3 December 2024 (9/10)
In the heart of the pedestrianised old town in a beautiful spacious courtyard setting with a comfortable traditionally decorated room. Easy access to the port area and to bars and restaurants.
What could be improved: Only the loud techno music being played at a nearby club.Preeti from India – 6 November 2024 (10/10)
Excellent location. Nice property
Jenny from Saudi Arabia – 25 October 2024 (9/10)
The setting for the hotel is beautiful with the chalet-like accommodation which feels secluded but yet its location is right in the middle of the Old Town
What could be improved: The pillows were a bit thinAnton from Netherlands – 24 October 2024 (10/10)
Very friendly staff and management. The hotel is right next to the Kaleici market, close to a wide range of restaurants.
The hotel is located in a stunningly beautiful renovated Ottoman town palace.
We'll go back there!
