You know what hits you first at The Marmara Antalya? It’s not the lobby or the pool – it’s how they’ve managed to snag this perfect spot on the Sirinyali stretch where you’re literally steps from the Mediterranean but far enough from the chaos of downtown Antalya to actually relax. I mean, you’re still close enough to hop over to Hadrian’s Gate or the old town when you want some culture, but honestly, once you’re here, you might not want to leave.

The hotel itself feels like what happens when Turkish hospitality meets modern design – and I don’t mean that in a cheesy way. The rooms are spacious (actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), and if you can swing a sea-view room, do it. Watching the sunrise over the Taurus Mountains while sipping Turkish coffee on your balcony is worth the extra euros. The staff here genuinely seem to care, which you notice in little ways – they remember your name, they’ll actually give you good restaurant recommendations beyond the tourist traps, and the housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive. Check-in was smooth, though like most places in this area, it gets pretty hectic during peak summer months, so maybe avoid arriving on Saturday afternoons if you can help it.

What really sets this place apart is how it balances being a proper resort with feeling connected to the real Antalya. The beach access is private but not pretentious, the pool area has enough space that you’re not fighting for loungers (well, except maybe in August), and the restaurant serves both international stuff and genuinely good Turkish dishes – not the watered-down versions you get at some five-stars. The location on Eski Lara Yolu means you’re in the sweet spot between Lara Beach’s resort strip and the city center. There’s a decent market about a ten-minute walk away if you need sunscreen or want to grab some local snacks, and the dolmuş stop is close enough that getting around is easy without being right on a busy road. Parking isn’t an issue if you’re driving, which is more than I can say for hotels closer to the marina. The 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s solid luxury without being flashy, and while it’s not going to blow your mind, it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should.

  Great location, helpful staff, comfy beds and great breakfast buffet.
  
  What could be improved: There should be mention that the pool is not in use as that’s why we booked the hotel in the first place. The outside is quite poor, nothing to lay down also, as the weather was very good. It wasn’t really inviting.

  Really cool place. If you love architecture you will appreciate it. Staying in a rotating building was an experience on its own and we loved it.

  What could be improved: – No plant milk ( soy, almond, etc) for breakfast. Really is a shame. Also no good options for vegetarians.
  – no WIFI in room when we were there
  – MOST ANNOYING : it’s about 200 meters to get to the beach: a few elevators, some walking, a cave tunnel you have to go through and so on and when you finally get to the beach THERES IS NO BEACH TOWELS THERE. They said I should go back to reception ( 10-15 minute walk) and ask for it. Also no one tells you that so when you get there you stuck. Matter of fact I’m changing the rating for 9 to 8 just because of that. It’s just stupid.

  What could be improved: Bathrooms and rooms need a facelift. They are dated in outlook. No standing shower. No beach. Good Hamam Baths and spa. Great selection and quality of massage service.

  Although we booked our room with breakfast included, we couldn't have breakfast in hotel because we had an early flight. But, the staff were very kind and they prepared a lunch box for us including delicious sandwiches, cakes and fruit juice. The room had a great sea view. Pool was large and spacious.
