Türkay Hotel Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Türkay Hotel on Atatürk Bulvarı – it’s got that classic Turkish three-star look from the outside, you know? But here’s the thing that caught me off guard: this place actually gets the fundamentals right in ways that plenty of fancier hotels mess up completely. The lobby has this lived-in warmth that immediately tells you the staff genuinely cares about what they’re doing, and after staying at my fair share of cookie-cutter places along the Turkish coast, that kind of authentic hospitality hits different.

What really sold me on this spot is how perfectly positioned it is without trying to oversell that fact. You’re right in the heart of Antalya on one of the main boulevards – I mean, you can literally walk to Kaleiçi (the old town) in about fifteen minutes, and there’s this great little çay garden just two blocks down that locals actually frequent, not just tourists. The rooms are clean and comfortable in that no-nonsense way, with decent air conditioning that actually works during those brutal August afternoons, though I’ll be honest, the street-facing rooms can get a bit noisy during morning rush hour. But if you’re planning to be out exploring anyway (which you should be), it’s really not a big deal. The breakfast spread is surprisingly solid too – proper Turkish breakfast with fresh bread, local honey, and olives that don’t taste like they’ve been sitting around forever.

What pushes this place into genuinely recommendable territory is the staff’s local knowledge and the fact that they seem to understand what travelers actually need. The front desk guy – I think his name was Mehmet – gave me directions to this incredible baklava shop that wasn’t in any guidebook, and when I mentioned wanting to see some less touristy parts of the coast, he sketched out this whole route on a napkin that ended up being the highlight of my trip. You’re also close enough to the tram line that getting to places like Lara Beach or the airport is straightforward, but far enough from the resort strip that you’re not dealing with that overwhelming tourist chaos. For the price point and that 8.8 rating, it makes total sense – this isn’t trying to be a luxury experience, it’s just a well-run, honest hotel that happens to be in a really smart location for actually experiencing Antalya rather than just passing through it.

Reviews of Türkay Hotel

  • Yanka from Bulgaria – 1 May 2025 (9/10)

I like the location, the room- was comfortable, the personnel is helpful.

What could be improved: Did not like the breakfast. Was the same for every day. By itself is not good, not to have it each day. Why dont they give you opportunities what to eat.

  • Vanessa from United Kingdom – 29 November 2024 (9/10)

The beds were the best I've known in a hotel, so comfy. The staff were really friendly, everywhere was so clean. Great location, just a 5min walk to the front. I didn't eat at the hotel, but from what I saw the breakfast looked good & the bistro meals smelt lovely.

  • Sefika from Turkey – 29 August 2024 (9/10)

    Cleanliness and friendly staff

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Katerina from Canada – 27 November 2023 (9/10)

    Good choices…great coffee…excellent service

What could be improved: All my expectation were met …all good

  • Jenny from Georgia – 8 November 2023 (9/10)

Everything was great, the staff are very nice and friendly, always ready to help. The location is perfect, just a 5 min walk to the beach. Huge breakfast, good food in the bistro downstairs.

What could be improved: The only problem was the noise from the street and from the air conditioner but unless you are a light sleeper or you have ear plugs you will do just fine 👌🏻

  • Piotr from Poland – 28 September 2023 (9/10)

The best about Turkay Hotel is unimaginable attention to details from the staff. They have been helping with every aspect of our stay there, making our trip a really enjoyable experience.

What could be improved: Unfortunately we couldn't enable any network features on our TV. It was a little issue because of our long stay. However Turkay Hotel staff tried their best to help us, which we still appreciate 🙂

  • Christina from Greece – 31 August 2023 (9/10)

Great hospitality, very clean and renovated, good location

What could be improved: Maybe it would have been better if they spoke better English- but no issues

  • Irmina from Poland – 24 August 2023 (9/10)

To me, Türkay hotel could have easily 4 stars. The location was really amazing. Just around 6 minutes by walk to the beautiful Konyaalti beach, and the promenade with spectacular palm trees. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was very nice, tidy and clean. The view was wonderful! I also enjoyed the breakfast. I liked that, it was served directly to the table. I highly recommend this excellent hotel.

  • Alexander from United States – 23 August 2023 (9/10)

A real nice 3-star hotel. It's not big, but you can tell they're keeping things top-notch. It's clean and quiet, and everything works like it should.
We really enjoyed the Bistro – small restaurant in the hotel – their Turkish-style breakfast was the highlight in the mornings. It's also a great spot to hang out later in the evening. The food and service over there are super nice too.

What could be improved: The girl at the front desk seemed a little angry and lost when she realized that the two young men in front of her were together. She even had to get her male coworker to complete the check-in. But the rest of the staff were really nice and ready to assist.
