Turunç Hotel ANTALYA Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when you first pull up to Turunç Hotel on Ali Çetinkaya Caddesi, it doesn’t scream “Instagram-worthy boutique hotel.” The building sits quietly in the Yüksekalan neighborhood, and you might actually drive past it if you’re not paying attention. But that’s sort of the point, and once you step inside, you realize this place has something most Antalya hotels are missing – actual character.

The thing about Turunç is that it feels like someone’s well-traveled uncle decided to open a hotel and just… did it right. No corporate handbook, no cookie-cutter rooms that could be anywhere from Istanbul to Miami. The owners clearly put thought into the details – I mean, the lobby has this worn leather chair that’s probably seen a thousand conversations, and there’s always Turkish tea available, not because it’s policy but because that’s just what you do. The rooms aren’t huge (honestly, who needs massive spaces when you’re in Antalya?), but they’re thoughtfully designed with local touches that actually make sense. You know what I appreciated? The bathroom tiles weren’t some generic beige nonsense – they’d clearly sourced them locally, and the whole place feels connected to where it actually is.

Here’s what you need to know practically speaking – parking can be a bit tricky on the narrow streets around there, especially during summer evenings when everyone’s heading out to dinner. The neighborhood itself is residential, so it’s genuinely quiet at night (a blessing if you’ve ever stayed near Antalya’s main tourist strips). You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the old town, which sounds far but actually gives you this nice buffer from the cruise ship crowds. The staff… well, they’re not going to hover over you, but they know their stuff. Ask them about restaurants and they’ll send you to places locals actually eat, not tourist traps. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, and the WiFi can be spotty on the upper floors, but it has this authenticity that’s getting harder to find. This isn’t a place for travelers who need everything sanitized and predictable. It’s for people who want to feel like they’re staying somewhere that belongs to Antalya, not just dropped into it.

Reviews of Turunç Hotel ANTALYA

  • Vladyslav from Ukraine – 1 June 2025 (7/10)

    Clean, friendly managers

What could be improved: There is no elevator. All the doors to the rooms creak when closing. You can hear when someone leaves the floor.

  • Gabriel from Lebanon – 29 April 2025 (7/10)

I only stayed for one night, but overall, the experience matched my expectations for the price. Compared to other hotels, it was affordable and very convenient. It’s just a one-minute walk from the tram line connecting to the airport, so I didn’t have to worry about transportation or expensive taxis. The hotel is located in a lively area with a great atmosphere, plenty of shops, and markets nearby.

While the rooms were not the cleanest and the bathroom was quite basic and small, the value for money was fair and even exceeded what I had anticipated. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the short stay even more pleasant.

  • Gezer from France – 5 April 2025 (8/10)

    It was a nice stay.
Be prepared to come up with noise cancelling earplugs to sleep, as, in addition to the noises from other guests or their broken ACs, even the rain creates noise.

What could be improved: I have some recommendations to the hotel management:
    – The ACs(air conditioners) sometimes make noise(unnecessarily), in the rooms 404 and 405. Please check them.
    – On the doorway of the shared bathrooms/toilets, there must be a floor mat to mop away shoes(often these places are found wet).
    – Change the sink/basin with a larger one, as they cause the wet floors by being unable to retain the water. The water is splashed everywhere because of the current small basin.
    – The wooden doors are so thin and without isolation that they cannot block guest noises away 🙁
    – There must be silence warnings sticked everywhere, as evidently the guests forget that they aren't in their houses.
    – You could add an isolation layer on the walls to dampen noises down.

  • Sr7juve from United States Minor Outlying Islands – 26 March 2025 (8/10)

  • Haitham from Germany – 15 April 2024 (8/10)

The location is great. 2 Minutes walk from a Tram station. From there, it is a couple of stations to Muratpasa.
    Great connection to the airport

What could be improved: Nothing significant to declare

  • Samet from Turkey – 11 February 2024 (6/10)

Convenient location, at the tram stop.

What could be improved: It was not clean. They did not even bother to remove the shampoo bottle and its cap from the previous guests.

  • Cameron from Canada – 22 January 2024 (8/10)

Amazing staff and super polite. Very simple but very charming place.

  • Tatiana from United Kingdom – 17 October 2023 (8/10)

  • Daniel from Hungary – 13 September 2023 (8/10)

Very good location close to the tram stop from the airport, with lots of cute little shops around where locals go too and cute terrace with shadows. Very good price! Friendly welcome reception and helpful with my requests. Shared bathroom& shower but always clean and maintained well. Everything in walking distance.
