Venüs Hotel Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Venüs Hotel – it’s not going to blow your mind, but honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need. This little two-star spot sits tucked away on a quiet residential street in Gürsu, and I mean quiet. You’re about a 10-minute walk from the main Konyaaltı strip, which actually worked out perfectly for me because you get that neighborhood feel without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

The first thing you notice walking up is how… well, unpretentious it is. No fancy lobby or marble floors – just a straightforward family-run place where the guy at reception actually remembers your name by day two. The rooms are clean and functional, nothing fancy, but the air conditioning works (crucial in Antalya summers, trust me), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I mean, I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places where I couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep. The bathroom’s small but everything works, hot water’s reliable, and honestly – you’re probably going to spend most of your time outside anyway, right?

What I really appreciated was the location once I figured it out. You’re close enough to walk to Konyaaltı Beach without dealing with the parking nightmare near the main hotels, and there’s this little bakery just two blocks down that makes incredible börek in the mornings. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see families hanging laundry and kids playing in the street – it’s real Antalya, not tourist Antalya, you know? Plus, getting into the old town is easy from here; the dolmuş stops right at the corner and it’s maybe 15 minutes to Kaleiçi. The staff gave me actual directions (not just “take a taxi”), which I appreciated since I’m one of those people who likes to figure out the local transport.

Is everything perfect? Well, no – the WiFi can be spotty in the evenings when everyone’s online, and if you’re on the street side, you’ll hear some traffic in the mornings. But honestly, for what you’re paying, it’s solid value. The kind of place where you check in, drop your bags, and head out to explore without worrying about whether someone’s going to judge your sandy flip-flops in the lobby. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was doing more of a local experience trip rather than a resort vacation. Sometimes you just want a clean, safe place to sleep that doesn’t cost a fortune – and that’s exactly what Venüs Hotel delivers.

Reviews of Venüs Hotel

  • Jodie from United Kingdom – 4 October 2024 (7/10)

Staff absolutely lovely! Couldn’t help more

What could be improved: Mattresses were not the best

  • Stefan-nikola from Netherlands – 19 August 2024 (7/10)

The room was nice and it exceeded our expectations. The beach was also really close and there were a lot of nice restaurants close by

What could be improved: Didn't really have a balcony, only a window that you can lean on. Also the kitchen there didn't offer a lot of stuff and the internet connection is not great in all rooms

  • Habib from Pakistan – 26 September 2023 (7/10)

Its peaceful environment and nearness to Beach and the Duden waterfalls

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Elena from Russia – 22 September 2023 (8/10)

Very good location, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We stayed in the hotel for one night before going to the airport.
The room was clean. The window overlooked the yard and the house opposite. It was quite calm at night inspite of the fact that there are a lot of noisy pubs nearby.
A person at the reseption was quite welcoming.
I liked this hotel. It's a good value for money. But I wouldn't stay here longer than couple of nights.

What could be improved: It was very smoky at the staircase area.

  • Ilya from Cyprus – 16 July 2023 (8/10)

Very quiet neighboirhood! Renovated hotel. Fair priced.

What could be improved: Fridge was old and rusty.

  • Olga from Slovakia – 3 July 2023 (7/10)

It was nice to have a balcony; close to the beach; quiet; large TV; working air condition; little breakfast; communicated with hosts via translator

What could be improved: No room service until you ask specifically (they cleaned once per week after my request); no toilet paper; no soap; water pressure is weak; Wi-Fi is poor; breakfast from 09:00 only

  • Tonythecatman from Russia – 1 July 2023 (8/10)

More or less close to the beach, very inexpensive

What could be improved: No room cleaning

  • Fulton from United Kingdom – 9 August 2022 (8/10)

The restaurant waitress/ cook was very attentive . My room was clean . The air-conditioning was new very effective . The new television gave an insight into Turkish society . Modern channels . The bedroom though basic had a modern up to the minute feel. Contemporary furnishing .
Would l want to return to this hotel? In a word yes . Great location for buses , taxis , the beach promenade .

What could be improved: No plug in the wash hand basin made shaving and a quick refreshing somewhat tricky. More toilet paper required . A couple more hand towels . The owner/ manager did not want payment in Pounds Sterling .He gave several options . Happy with Turkish Lira .

  • Екатерина from Russia – 16 June 2022 (8/10)

Stayed there for one night. Everything was good except mosquitoes in the room

  • Cenk from Turkey – 3 June 2022 (8/10)

Clean spacious rooms. Good location. Value for money.

What could be improved: Bathroom should have shower cabin.
