Villa ANATOLIAN Overview
You know what? I’ve walked through Kaleiçi probably a hundred times, but I still get that little thrill when I turn onto Sakarya Sokak and see Villa ANATOLIAN tucked away there. It’s one of those places that feels like a secret even though it’s right in the heart of old town Antalya. The building itself is this gorgeous restored Ottoman house – I mean, you can tell they actually cared about preserving the original character instead of just slapping some fake historical elements on a modern box.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the old city rather than just visiting it. You’re literally steps from Hadrian’s Gate, and when you walk out in the morning, you’ll probably bump into locals heading to the small grocery shops before the tourist crowds wake up. The narrow cobblestone streets can be a bit tricky with luggage (pro tip: pack light or bring wheels that can handle uneven surfaces), but once you’re settled in, everything you want to see is within walking distance. The harbor is maybe a five-minute stroll, and there’s this little tea garden – locals call it çay bahçesi – just around the corner where you can sit and watch the world go by for the price of a cup of Turkish tea.
What really got me about this place, though, is how they’ve managed to keep that intimate boutique feel while still having their act together service-wise. The rooms have this wonderful mix of traditional Turkish elements and modern comfort – thick stone walls that actually keep things cool during those blazing summer afternoons, and honestly, the air conditioning works better than most places twice the price. I stayed during Ramadan once and you could hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, which some people might find intrusive, but I actually loved how it connected you to the rhythm of the city. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out – they’ll point you toward the best baklava shop (not the touristy one everyone goes to) and can arrange things like boat trips without the usual tourist markup. With a 9.8 rating, you’d expect it to be flawless, and while the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some rooms – this is a centuries-old building, after all – the overall experience really does live up to the hype. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay just because leaving feels like abandoning a perfect little hideaway.

Location was great, and host was incredibly helpful

Charming big old house in town, recently modernized. Close to shops and restaurants, but on a quiet side street.
House is very well appointed, functioning and clean.
Air conditioning works well.
Host is very attentive and helpful.
We would be pleased to return.
What could be improved: Nothing of substance.
Balcony/terrace is very nice but unfortunately too hot to use in August.
Property is hard to find for taxi drivers, so we gave the address of the café next door, which seemed to work fine.Barbara from Austria – 1 September 2024 (10/10)
Great location, very responsive and nice host, beautiful house – everything was just perfect! It was also very clean and quiet. Parking a car can be a challenge sometimes but it’s mostly possible (once we were told by the guard to the Old City to park the car outside the area, which means a little more walking).

The host Umit is a great guy. The car had to drop us off a few meters away as no traffic allowed in small street. We had luggage for 6 people and Mr Umit was waiting for us. He helped us carry the (heavy ) luggage to the Villa. The Villa is huge and very clean. He took time to show and explain everything within the Villa. The Villa is equipped with “everything “ you need for your stay from kitchen utensils, spices, tea, coffee, plenty of towels, garbage bags, washing machine {no dryer but clothes will dry within 1-2 hours in the balcony in summer heat (a big rack to dry clothes is available at the Villa)} to excellent air conditioning (the weather was very hot during our stay in Antalya). Location is great and a lot of restaurants and Roman Harbor are at few minutes walk. Mr Umit helped us arrange the daily tour as well as airport transfer at a reasonable price.

Meeting the host at the villa, he handed the keys over and gave me his number and said I can text him anytime if I had any questions or issues which was very kind of him and very helpful.

We loved our stay at Villa Anatolian. The home was beautiful and located very conveniently in the old town. It comfortably fit our party of 10 and had everything we needed. It was very clean and had all the basics we needed. The main bedrooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable, and the living/dining area and kitchen area are great to spend time with friends and family.
Our host was the most amazing host we’ve had so far. We’ve traveled quite a bit and stayed at various airbnbs and places, and have never had a host who has so genuinely and kindly tried to help us enjoy our stay at the villa and also give us all sorts of helpful information about the area. He gave us a very warm welcome, with fresh produce and essentials in the fridge (which was amazingly useful with tired and hungry little kids after a very long flight) and helped us get our stuff in, navigate the parking situation, and show us around the villa.
The old town is a charming area with a lot of cafes and restaurants, and witin walking distance to shopping and grocery stores. The closeby beach (6 min walking through the old town) is very nice and convenient. It is a private beach and so one has to pay a small admission fee but then they have lounging chairs, umbrellas, serve food/drinks,. The water is very warm and pleasant (at least in summer) and the views are amazing. We explored a bunch of beaches in the area, even driving further on the turquoise coast and by far preferred this beach.
Overall, we all loved our stay at the Villa and if we go back to Antalya would definitely try to stay there again!Ewald from France – 31 July 2022 (10/10)
The stay at Villa Anatolian was excellent ! Even though we had plane issues (we were delayed 2h+), Ümit, our host, waited to provide us the keys of the villa. He was especially kind and considerate, offering to take care of anything we could need, be it a trip to somewhere around Antalya, a ride in Antalya, groceries shopping…
The villa was honestly the best stay I ever had in holidays. It is so spacious, you feel like in a palace ! Everything seems new, the beds are extra comfy, the living room is perfect, even the kitchen has all we need. The three bathrooms were a big plus as we were a group of friends. The AC works perfect, the terrasse was really nice to have a drink in the evening, and we had a blast staying there for a few days.
The location of the villa is exceptional ! In the Old Town of Antalya, you are surrounded by beautiful villas, magnificent streets, everything is beautiful! It is really close to nice places for the evening, a few bars and pubs, restaurants of any kind, but nothing noisy for the night in the vicinity.
We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Antalya !
What could be improved: Nothing was wrong with this place. If I really had to pick something, I would say that it was a tad expensive, but the stay was so nice !
