Blue Garden Hotel Overview

You know what struck me first about Blue Garden Hotel? It’s this gorgeous converted Ottoman mansion tucked right on Akdeniz Bulvari – which, honestly, sounds way more intimidating than it actually is. I mean, yes, it’s a busy street, but the hotel sits back just enough that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, and you’re literally a five-minute walk to Kaleiçi’s old town walls.

The whole place has this wonderfully eccentric vibe that you just don’t get at those cookie-cutter resort chains. Each room is completely different – mine had these incredible hand-painted tiles and a little balcony overlooking their courtyard garden (hence the name, I guess). The owner, Mehmet, actually lives on-site and he’s one of those guys who genuinely loves talking about Antalya’s history. He’ll tell you which hamam to visit, where to get the best künefe, and – this was clutch – how to negotiate with the dolmuş drivers. The building itself is probably a century old, so don’t expect perfect soundproofing or brand-new everything, but that’s sort of the point. There’s character in those creaky wooden floors and the way the bathroom door doesn’t quite close perfectly.

What really won me over was how they handle the little things. Breakfast isn’t some massive buffet situation – it’s served in this lovely courtyard with actual Turkish breakfast spreads (none of that continental nonsense), and they’ll make your tea exactly how you like it after the first morning. The location is honestly perfect if you want to explore properly. You’re close enough to walk to Hadrian’s Gate and the harbor, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s a small lot behind the building, but during high season (July-August, when it’s absolutely sweltering anyway), you might need to park on the street. The staff speaks decent English, though they appreciate any Turkish phrases you can manage, and they’re incredibly helpful with day trip planning. I wouldn’t call this a luxury experience exactly – it’s more like staying with a knowledgeable local friend who happens to have a beautiful old house. If you need a giant pool or room service, look elsewhere. But if you want to actually experience Antalya rather than just pass through it, and you appreciate places with genuine personality over polished perfection, Blue Garden Hotel is exactly what you’re looking for.

  Perfect sea view from the room, convenient location with easy access to the sea, shopping malls and not far from historic city centre or airport.
  
  Bur the real plus of this property is the people working there. Very helpful and friendly. They all helped us when we arrived and need to change the room or find the kid bib which fall down to another room.
  Also Musa was very helpful at check out helping with the transfer. And Riza was meint our breakfasts so lovely!
  
  What could be improved: It's not about the property itself but about Konyaaltı in general – because of the central location – some beach clubs and cafes are close and might make noise till 1am.
  Normally It's not a problem ( unless you are traveling with very small kid.)

  The location is very good. The staff at reception were nice and helpful,they checked us in early. The staff at the breakfast restaurant especially the chef. Great housekeeping.

  Buffet breakfast was near the pool. There are many options for the breakfast. The sea view from the rooms was perfect. Hotel and my room were very clean. Bali therapies in spa took all my tiredness and they are so kind.
  the dinner was excellent and affordable. There are too many options, from seafood to kebabs… my favorite is mixed kebab. Yummyyy. The chef took care of our meals one by one while he is visiting my table.I wished I had more time. next time when i visit Antalya, Blue garden is only adress for me.
