First Impressions

Walking into CityHub feels like discovering one of those places locals don’t want tourists to know about — except it’s right in the heart of Kaleiçi’s ancient streets. This four-star boutique spot sits on a quiet cobblestone lane that most people rush past on their way to the bigger attractions, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. The building itself has this understated charm that doesn’t scream for attention, which I actually appreciate after seeing so many over-the-top hotel facades in Antalya.

The Perfect Kaleiçi Location

You know what’s brilliant about Tabakhane Sokak? It’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the main tourist crowds, but you’re literally a two-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate and maybe five minutes from the old harbor. I mean, couples absolutely love this area — and I can see why, especially in the evenings when the narrow streets get this romantic, lantern-lit atmosphere. The fact that there’s actual parking available on-site is almost miraculous in this part of the old town, where most places leave you scrambling to find a spot blocks away.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this clean, modern design that somehow didn’t clash with the historic neighborhood vibe — which is harder to pull off than you’d think. What struck me most was how quiet everything was, despite being so central. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in older buildings here), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay. There’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the basics absolutely right rather than throwing in a bunch of unnecessary extras.

Exploring from Your Doorstep

Here’s the thing about staying in Kaleiçi — you’re basically living inside a piece of history, and CityHub puts you right in the sweet spot for exploring it all. The old Roman walls are practically outside your window, and you can wander down to the marina for dinner without breaking a sweat. I found myself just sitting in the nearby cafes watching the mix of locals and visitors flow through these ancient streets. The restaurant options within walking distance are incredible too — from traditional Turkish spots tucked into Roman-era buildings to modern places with harbor views.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both authentic and comfortable without trying too hard to be either. You’re not staying in some sterile chain hotel, but you’re also not roughing it in a place that’s all character and no convenience. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood — they gave me directions to a little tea garden I never would have found otherwise. For couples especially, there’s something about the combination of romantic old-world streets and having a proper, well-run place to retreat to that just works perfectly.

  The room was nice, not big, but it was expected from the pictures. Accommodation is good for its price. The hosts were amazing. The location is awesome, almost the center of the old city. All the necessary shops/restaurants/etc. are near.

  No place for clothes, like a drawer or a wardrobe.

  Really nice owners, didn't speak English, but we find ways to communicate easily. Localisation was great. Room was cheap. But: we stayed there for almost three weeks, and it definitely is not a good place for a long stay (though I can reccomend it for a short one). The room was very small, there was only one electric socket (we needet to buy an adapter, the fridge didn't work… There was no daily cleaning, which is understandable in such a cheap place, but again: everything makes that place recommendable for short stay rather than a longer one.
  Oh, and there was a kitchen but only for owners and a small inside yard/garden, I suppose also only for owners, but I do not know, because nobody communiacte us clearly the rules of the house – and that was a bit uncomfortable (certainly I do not mind, that the owners keep space for themselves, but I would appreciate a clear and plain info). Like I said, owners were really kind, but ther was a lot of minor nuisances.
  
  What could be improved: The fridge didn't work, but it stayed in the room nevertheless, and the room was really small, so we could at lest use the space better, if someone took broken fridge out. There was only one electric socket in the room and we should buy our won adapter.
