There’s something about being in a real neighborhood instead of some sterile hotel district… you hear the call to prayer echoing off the old walls, catch glimpses of the Mediterranean between buildings, and honestly feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just passing through.

The practical stuff matters too, and here’s where this place really delivers. No fighting for parking – there’s actually a small lot nearby that most tourists never find. The noise level stays reasonable even during summer evenings when the restaurants get busy, probably because you’re just far enough from the main drag. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward key-hunting drama I’ve had at other vacation rentals. And look, I’m not saying it’s perfect – the WiFi can be spotty during peak hours, and the shower pressure isn’t exactly forceful – but these feel like minor trade-offs when you’re paying significantly less than those big hotels down by the marina while getting a much more authentic experience.
