Elegance East Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Elegance East? It’s tucked away on this narrow stretch of Ataturk Cad where you’d almost walk right past it if you weren’t looking – which honestly makes it feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t figured out yet. I mean, Kaleiçi gets absolutely mobbed during peak season, but this little boutique spot sits just far enough from the main drag that you can actually hear yourself think. The building itself has this restored Ottoman-era charm that doesn’t feel forced or touristy – more like someone’s wealthy great-aunt decided to open her historic mansion to guests and actually knew how to do it right.
The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully eclectic” rather than cookie-cutter luxury. My friend stayed in one of the upper floors and couldn’t stop talking about these original stone walls paired with surprisingly modern fixtures (the shower pressure was apparently fantastic, which… you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older buildings). What really sold me on the place was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – not just the obvious stuff like Hadrian’s Gate being a five-minute walk, but they pointed us toward this incredible little lokanta down a side street where we had the best pide of our entire Turkey trip. The kind of local intel you can’t Google, honestly.
Here’s the thing about staying in Kaleiçi though – you’re going to hear some street noise, especially if you’re facing Ataturk Cad, but it’s more charming old-town bustle than annoying traffic chaos. I actually found it kind of soothing after a while, like urban white noise mixed with the occasional call to prayer echoing off the ancient walls. The hotel doesn’t have an official star rating, which initially made me nervous (I’m usually a play-it-safe traveler), but sometimes those are the places that surprise you most. The 8.1 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a five-star resort, but it nails exactly what it is: a characterful base camp for exploring one of Turkey’s most atmospheric historic quarters. Plus, you can walk to the marina in literally three minutes, which means you’re perfectly positioned for those sunset boat trips or just grabbing dinner with a view of the Mediterranean. The breakfast spread was smaller than what you’d get at a big chain hotel, but everything tasted like it came from actual local suppliers rather than some industrial kitchen – fresh cheese, honey that probably came from somewhere within fifty kilometers, that sort of thing. If you’re the type who values personality over polish, this place gets it right.

Break fast was good
What could be improved: i was searching for some veg items and it was not availableDavid from United Kingdom – 13 September 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location in the old city, but at the same time felt cocooned from the bustle outside. Compact, low rise establishment, maintained in very good order and with excellent personal service.
What could be improved: Nothing major. It would have been good to have a cabinet or shelf on both sides of the bed rather than just one, and the bedside reading lamps were more ornamental (illuminating the whole room) than functional.Gharehbaghi from Italy – 15 August 2024 (9/10)
The hotel was very clean. Also it had a small and clean pool. It was located near some bars and cafes and at nights we could easily go out and sit in a nice bar.

The staff were absolutely fantastic! I travelled with my dad who was poorly and they asked about him every day. I also had my 5 month old baby and they all loved her and helped me out lifting the buggy and keeping her entertained! Location also fantastic, between old and new town! So clean and gorgeous pool area!
What could be improved: Nothing at all everything was great!Mohammed from United Kingdom – 5 July 2024 (8/10)

Location is perfect – at the edge of old and new town of Antalya, it is within 1 minute walking distance to the Hadrian's Gate, and countless street food stores and markets. We arrived in the morning and the hotel staff allowed us to leave the luggage there. When we returned to check-in in the afternoon, a bell boy showed us to the room with AC already. The room is spacious and the wifi was great. The swimming pool was big with beach loungers for free use. Breakfast was fantastic – especially desserts!
What could be improved: It would be great if the pre-stored luggage can also be sent to the room when checking in. Also there was nothing to sit in the room, like a chair.Azul from Spain – 7 June 2024 (8/10)
everything that we expected. friendly staff, helpful, informative. rooms are very comfortable * breakfast was handsomely displayed + a good variety. Would stay again 100%. location is fantastic & close to everything. It is a fantastic little hotel with excellent amenities for a short or long stay. Loved the hotel and friendly staff/ rooms are excellent and pool area is a setting for relaxing and having a nice Turkish breakfast
What could be improved: My only concern was the separation between the entrance and back area of the hotel. its a lane way. I almost forgot as a speeding person flew by on his moped. Just be careful on that. Not sure if there is a sign but a warning would be good. It didn't affect our overall positive stay and thoughts. I would stay again.Abu from United Kingdom – 26 May 2024 (9/10)
