House 5 Hotel Overview
You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Antalya’s old town, but House 5 Hotel is one of those spots that just gets it right. It’s tucked away on Hesapçı Sokak – honestly, if you’re not looking for it, you’ll walk right past – but that’s actually part of its charm. The whole street is this narrow cobblestone lane that feels like stepping back in time, except you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds that pack the main Kaleiçi squares during peak season.
The hotel itself is housed in what looks like a restored Ottoman-era building, and I mean they really did their homework with the restoration. The stone walls are thick enough that you barely hear the occasional scooter puttering by outside, which is saying something since sound travels like crazy through these old quarter streets. When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of calm – the lobby’s got these beautiful arched ceilings and the kind of traditional tilework that you see in the better museums, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly precious about it. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which sounds obvious but trust me, it’s not always the case. They’ll point you toward the little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM (perfect if you’re dealing with jet lag), or tell you which nights the restaurant two streets over has live music.
What really won me over, though, was how they’ve managed to blend the historical character with genuinely comfortable modern touches. The rooms aren’t huge – I mean, we’re talking about a building that’s probably 200 years old – but they feel spacious because of the high ceilings and the way natural light filters through the traditional wooden shutters. The beds are actually good, not just okay, and the bathrooms have proper water pressure, which can be hit or miss in this part of town. There’s also this lovely courtyard where you can have breakfast or just sit with a coffee in the evening when the temperature drops. During summer months, it gets pretty warm during the day, but the thick walls and that inner courtyard create this nice cooling effect that kicks in around sunset. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle since you’re right in the heart of the pedestrian zone, but they’ll sort that out for you when you book – just mention you’re driving. The whole experience feels authentic without being inconvenient, if that makes sense. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because you realize you’ve found something special, and honestly, with rates that are reasonable for what you’re getting, why wouldn’t you?

Reviews of House 5 Hotel

Unique property with plenty of character and charm. The room is tastefuly done. The bed is firm and comfortable. Right in the old town. I would definitely stay again. I always prefer hotels with character if I am going to be staying at any old town centre and this one was perfect for me. Once you are inside it's very tranquil and private, the hustle and bustle of the town of disappears and you can relax after a dayof activities.
What could be improved: I wish the property did breakfast, not a problem as there's plenty of options just outside. However, a breakfast at the property would add to the charm, a perfect way to start a day of activity without having to step out.Anfisa from Germany – 25 December 2024 (9/10)
Freshly renovated place, very nice modern design with local motives. The staff were super friendly and helpful!!! Beautiful inner garden.
What could be improved: There was an issue with the water reassume, which was fixed. The neighbor hotel is under reconstruction, so it was a bit noisy in the morning.Madis from Estonia – 26 November 2024 (9/10)

Feel and comfort of home with beautiful cozy furnishing, decor and warm interior ambiance and beautiful outdoor setting. A lot of privacy despite being in Old Town Kaleici where you step out and into the street lined with shops. The owners were exceptional – very helpful and super nice.
What could be improved: We liked everything about it.Cevher from Belgium – 6 October 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful hotel in a historical building, very close to everything and yet not noisy at nights, pool is also another pleasure to have.

We stayed at house 5 hotel for two nights and we had a wonderful time. Placed only a couple of foot steps away from the Hadrians wall, you can really soak in the feeling of Antalya old town. The staff was more than helpful, from providing a children’s bed to organizing our transfer. The garden is the perfect place if you just want to chill out after a long day of sightseeing.
What could be improved: Everything was perfect
