Kartal Hotel Overview
Honestly, I almost missed Kartal Hotel the first time I walked down 639 Sokak – it’s tucked into this quiet residential stretch in Arapsuyu where you wouldn’t expect to find much of anything touristy. But that’s actually what makes it kind of perfect, you know? You’re still in Konyaaltı, maybe a 12-minute walk to the beach if you take the shortcut through the neighborhood streets, but you’re away from all that hotel strip chaos.
The place has this whole boutique vibe going on, and I mean that in the best way – not the pretentious kind where they charge you extra for everything. The owner clearly put thought into the details without trying to impress anyone. My room had these beautiful Turkish textiles that felt authentic rather than touristy, and honestly, the bathroom was way nicer than I expected for the price point. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. You get these gentle sounds from the neighborhood – maybe someone’s TV in the distance or a cat wandering around – but none of that resort noise or traffic from the main coastal road. I actually slept better here than at some of the fancier places I’ve stayed in Antalya.
The location grows on you once you figure it out. Sure, you’re not stumbling directly onto Konyaaltı Beach, but there’s something nice about walking through actual Turkish neighborhood life to get there. There’s this little bakery two streets over that opens early if you want fresh simit, and the dolmuş stop is close enough that getting to the old town doesn’t require planning your whole day around it. Parking was surprisingly easy too – I mean, for Antalya standards anyway. The staff knows the area really well, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out where to eat dinner that isn’t just tourist food. They pointed me toward this family-run place about ten minutes away where I had some of the best pide I’ve had in Turkey, and I’ve been coming here for years. Look, Kartal isn’t going to wow you with a massive pool or lobby that looks like a palace, but it gets the important stuff right – comfortable beds, good water pressure, air conditioning that actually works, and that feeling like you’re staying somewhere with personality instead of just another generic hotel room.

Reviews of Kartal Hotel

Lovely family run hotel , who were all very friendly and helpful. Good sized room with a balcony. Simple breakfast but ample to start the day. 10 mins from the beach with plenty of transport and restaurants within walking distance.
What could be improved: I was disappointed it was too early for pool to be open.Bewaayo from United Kingdom – 17 May 2025 (8/10)
The morning breakfast was simple but the serving lady was so good. She didnt understand english well, however tried alll methods to make me welcome. Using all gestures and making sure I eat and try on most of the varieties. This was so kind of her and i really appreciate her
What could be improved: The WiFi is on but it gets to skip up sometimes. There is room for improvement
The type of showering soap can be improved as well.Maxim from Canada – 2 October 2024 (7/10)
It’s a good value for the money. Mattresses were old and squishy, I could barely do Wi-Fi WhatsApp call, ok for browsing but not for calls or zoom videos. Breakfast was almost ok, again for this money it was fine. There is Thu marker right next on the parking lot. Wed market – 15 min walk from the hotel. Beach is 5 min walk – it’s nice and clean.
What could be improved: Bed mattresses.Kateryna from United Kingdom – 28 September 2024 (8/10)
Nice hotel in the quiet location, family that run it are wonderful people, so approachable and helpful
Breakfast was good with fresh cheese, vegetables and olives.
What could be improved: If anything could be improved it’s bed and bedding as sleep is so important when you’re awayLiya from Russia – 2 September 2024 (9/10)

Breakfast was simple but fresh: fresh bread, jam, yogurt, coffee, milk, tea, cheese, honey, sausage, watermelon, olives, eggs
Iaroslav from Russia – 4 August 2024 (9/10)
Very competitive price at the peak of season, quite good location, fresh tomatoes and watermelon for breakfast every day.
What could be improved: In my first room, the air conditioner didn't work properly while day temperature was about 40 degree. Next day I was offered another room with excellently working and quiet conditioner.Kamariddin from United Kingdom – 11 July 2024 (9/10)
Watched EU24 peacefully in my room on brand new perfectly working TV
What could be improved: Friendly staff, nice poolKamariddin from United Kingdom – 8 July 2024 (9/10)
