Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels in Antalya’s old town, but Luna Hotel Kaleiçi actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The moment you walk through that entrance on Hesapci Sokak – honestly, you’ll probably walk past it twice because it’s tucked away like a local secret – you realize this isn’t trying to be some flashy resort. It’s this restored Ottoman house that feels like someone’s stylish relative decided to open their doors to travelers who appreciate character over cookie-cutter luxury.

The thing about Kaleiçi is that most hotels either go full tourist trap or they’re so “authentic” they forget about comfort, but Luna finds this sweet spot in between. The rooms have these gorgeous stone walls and wooden details that remind you you’re sleeping in centuries-old architecture, but then you’ve got proper air conditioning and a shower that actually has decent water pressure – trust me, that’s not a given in old town Antalya. I mean, you can hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques in the early morning, which honestly adds to the whole experience rather than disrupting it. The courtyard is where you’ll probably end up spending most of your time though – it’s got this intimate, almost secretive feel with jasmine that smells incredible in the evenings.

What really sold me on this place is how the staff knows the neighborhood inside and out. They’ll tell you about the little bakery two streets over that opens at 6 AM (perfect for grabbing something before the crowds hit Hadrian’s Gate), or which hammam is worth your time versus the tourist traps. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the marina and maybe five from the old harbor, but you’re on one of those quiet side streets where you can actually sleep at night without hearing every group of travelers stumbling back from the bars. The owner clearly put thought into the restoration – you can see original stonework alongside modern touches that don’t feel forced or fake. It’s not officially rated with stars, which honestly works in its favor because it doesn’t have to play by those generic hotel rules. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider it’s doing its own thing really well rather than trying to be everything to everyone. If you want a pool and room service and all that, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual soul in one of Turkey’s most atmospheric neighborhoods, Luna gets it absolutely right.

  Great location, super clean rooms, comfortable bed. In general our room was very nice, we really loved the design.
  
  What could be improved: It need some minor repair: bidet handle, toilet seat. Let's say, the things that should be stable are moving and need to be fixed. But other than that I couldn't complain.

  The hotel is situated right in city center, all main points of interest are within 10-15 minutes walk. The personnel was quite helpful and present at all times, namely 24/7. Despite a bar being right at the ground floor, it is not noisy in the room, not sure how it works, but its a fact )))

  Everything was fine, the location is great – plenty of bars and restaurants which also means that it gets quite loud at night so make sure you bring your earplugs 🙂

  The hotel owner/staffs were very friendly and there is a restaurant owned by the Hotel just downstairs. Although, there is no lift in the hotel but the owner helped us to carry the luggage upstair. The location was perfect for younger people as it is just in the middle of busy old town and at night there are multiple beer places/restaurant downstair with very energetic vibes.
  
  What could be improved: The room was a little bit small and stuffy, but you can always open the window.

  Useful location and nice room with space enough for two people. The decor is quite nice, check in/out were easy and efficient.
  
  What could be improved: The shower doesn't really get warm and makes a terrible noise when running, also we found someone else's toiletry cap in the shower so weren't sure if it got cleaned properly. The location is convenient but be aware VERY noisy at night from outside.
