Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Melissas Suites Lara, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s tucked into this residential complex called Yaparlar Sitesi, and you know how those can be hit or miss. But honestly? This place surprised me in the best way possible. The whole setup feels more like staying at a really well-run apartment building than a typical hotel, which actually works in your favor if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights in Antalya.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details that most four-star places completely botch. The suites – and they’re actually proper suites, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner – have these little touches that make you feel settled. I mean, there’s real counter space in the kitchenette, decent-sized balconies where you can actually sit and have your morning coffee, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off every ten minutes. The staff genuinely seems to care too, which you can tell within about five minutes of checking in. They’re not just going through the motions – they’ll actually help you figure out the best way to get to Lara Beach (it’s closer than you think) or recommend where to grab groceries without getting totally ripped off as a tourist.

Here’s the thing about the location that took me a while to appreciate – yeah, you’re not right in the thick of tourist central, but that’s actually perfect. Örnekköy is this quiet residential area where you can walk around in the evenings without dodging tour groups every thirty seconds, but you’re still only about a fifteen-minute ride to all the main Antalya attractions. The beach access is solid, parking isn’t a nightmare like it is closer to the old town, and there are these little local spots nearby where you can get proper Turkish breakfast for a fraction of what you’d pay in the hotel zone. I kept coming back to this one bakery just down the street – the kind of place you only find when you’re staying somewhere locals actually live. The 9-star rating makes complete sense once you spend a few days here, because it’s those small conveniences and thoughtful touches that add up. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where you actually relax instead of just checking boxes on your vacation to-do list.

  Very clean, comfortable, everything which Is needed for living. Nice swimming pool – quite big and open end of April.

  Value for many, really spacious apartments with good furniture. Really cozy and comfortable! 5 -7 minutes walk to the beach. Calm and relaxed neighbourhood, without noisy crowds.
  
  What could be improved: Kitchen appliances were limited – only two burners stove is quite limited for a big family.

  This is a very well maintained and clean facility. We stayed at the Prive apartment. Check in was easy and communication was good. We stayed 5 adults and 2 dogs and the apartment was big enough for us all. Balcony is great in this apartment.
  
  The only improvement I can suggest, is later check out time (it is now at 10:00), and also you need to buy/bring almost everything. There could be coffee, salt, toilet paper, extra face towels etc. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay here again.

  The apartment was massive and beautiful. Super clean and comfortable and excellent communication from the host via WhatsApp. Just beware, if you’re on the garden level and sleep with the window open, you may end up with a cat or two in your bed 😂 The grounds are very scenic with many fruit trees on the property

  Loved the room facilities and the pool
  
  What could be improved: Nothing we didn't like but if I could give feedback it would be microwave in room. Around the pool the garden could have been watered before pool opened. Not really ideal having water sprayed over you whilst sun bathing. Also maybe cushions for sun loungers.

  What could be improved: We stayed in the ground-floor apartment, which is fantastic for spending time in the garden by the pool, as you have direct and easy access. However, the bedroom is right next to the main entrance, and it can get quite noisy at night when guests check in or return and walk through the hallway. You hear quite a bit, and there’s also a motion sensor that triggers the light when people approach the entrance. Even with the curtains in the bedroom, the room still lights up quite a bit (heavier, darker, and wider curtains could easily fix this issue).
  
  Additionally, the bathroom occasionally had an unpleasant smell in the morning, likely due to the ground-floor location and the plumbing/drains.
