You know what struck me first about the Nun Hotel? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Çağlayan – honestly, I almost walked past it because it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. But that’s actually part of its charm. The building has this understated elegance that feels more like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s carefully curated home than some cookie-cutter tourist spot.

The whole place has maybe 15 rooms, which means the staff actually remembers your name by day two. I mean, the owner clearly put thought into every corner – there are these beautiful Turkish textiles mixed with modern touches that somehow don’t clash at all. My room had these gorgeous wooden shutters that opened onto a small balcony, and you could hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque in the mornings (not loud enough to wake you, just… atmospheric, you know?). The bathroom was compact but thoughtfully designed, with this amazing rainfall shower that I honestly didn’t want to leave. One small thing – the WiFi can be spotty on the upper floors, but honestly, it forced me to actually relax for once.

What really sets this place apart is its location in Muratpaşa. You’re away from the tourist chaos of Kaleiçi, but close enough that a 15-minute walk gets you to the old town’s cobblestone streets and harbor. There’s this fantastic little bakery just two blocks down 2051 Sokak where locals grab their morning börek – the kind of spot you’d never find if you stayed in the hotel zone. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see kids playing football in the small parks and grandmothers chatting on benches. Parking can be tricky since it’s a residential area, but the hotel staff helped us figure out the street parking situation (and it’s free, which is rare in Antalya). The real gem though? You’re close enough to walk to some of the city’s best local restaurants without dealing with the tourist markup. That 8.1 rating makes perfect sense – it’s not trying to be a five-star resort, but it nails what it’s going for: an authentic, comfortable base for exploring the real Antalya.

  What could be improved: Pls don’t sell your single cheap room as it is so uncomfortable to stay. Avoid economy room as it is not worth at all

  Conveniently located place to stay at Chalaua Muratpasa, Antalya. The hotel is fairly kept clean and staff are friendly including Matt, Hakan and Sila. It was my 3rd visit at this place.
  
  What could be improved: The choice of breakfast is limited and did not get toasted bread. Price could be more competitive, it was expensive compared to other hotels.

  I liked hotel very small nice cozy , clean room , breakfast I didn’t try cuz u don’t eat in the morning . Bed is amazing but pillow is too hard for me . I’m addicted to sleep on soft pillow with goose inside .

  What could be improved: Отвратительно маленький прокуренный номер, в ванной вечером еле теплая вода еле течет из душа, ванная комната убитая…бассейн работает до 20:00 и после 21:00 в ресторане еды нет. Завтрак – шведский стол просто ужасный – отвратительно
